Summary:

Reviews the causes and sources of earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest, and reviews the associated hazards and risks to people and property. A high-level summary of potential hazards in standard housing units is given, together with a brief summary of key emergency preparedness activities that everyone can undertake.

BIO:

Tim is a geologist and co-owner of a small consulting company offering consulting and management services to the minerals industry. He is currently focused on consulting for a mining royalty company, and is also a director of a junior mineral explorer with projects in Canada. With over 40 years of experience in mineral exploration and project development with major and junior mining and exploration companies, much of Tim’s formative experience is from the Central Andes of South America, having spent 20 years living and working in Chile, Argentina and Peru.
