Metro Vancouver Regional Water Supply System Lifeline Study – click here to download
Summary:
Dunbar Earthquake and Emergency Preparedness (DEEP) invites you to a 1.5-hour workshop on addressing the important problem of how to deal with a compromised supply of clean drinking water that would likely occur after a powerful regional earthquake. This free event will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 am. at the Dunbar Community Centre (room 202), 4747 Dunbar Street.
It is anticipated that after a severe earthquake in southwestern British Columbia and the larger Cascadia Region, the supply of drinking water will be disrupted – perhaps profoundly, and for an unimaginable amount of time.
Our aim with this workshop is to help you and your family:
- effectively prepare and position a realistic supply of drinking water for use in case of disaster
- learn how to render water potable
DEEP member Chris Green will lead the workshop on preparing for water security in a post-disaster situation.
Please register for this in-person talk below. Seating will be limited.
