Shakeout BC – “The Great British Columbia ShakeOut, organized by the British Columbia Earthquake Alliance (BCEA), is an annual opportunity for individuals, communities, schools, and organisations to practice essential earthquake safety measures such as “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.”

Salmonberry Days is an annual local event organized by volunteers to celebrate the Dunbar community, nature, heritage homes, culture, gardens, and history, culminating in a family fair at the community centre.

Emergency Week – Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is a national event supported by Public Safety Canada, working closely with provincial and territorial emergency management organisations, Indigenous organisations, non-governmental organisations, and private sector organisations that support activities at the local level. An annual event for over 25 years traditionally takes place during the first full week of May.
